BEACHES 
The reason Benidorm has become so popular is its beautiful setting, featuring three miles of fine sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters, complemented by a wonderful year-round climate and hot sunny weather in the summer. The two main long sandy beaches, Playa Poniente (Sunset Beach) and Playa Levante (Sunrise Beach), are separated by a rocky promontory known as the Canfali vantage point, which offers stunning views in each direction.

At the foot of this lookout point lies the Mal Pas cove. The main Benidorm beaches are long and wide but can become very crowded in the summer. Levante is busier than Poniente. Poniente is distinctly Spanish. There is also a beautiful beach south of Poniente at Cala de Finestrat, where plenty of water sports are available, such as waterskiing and parasailing.

Benidorm also has a charming old town area situated between the Levante and Poniente beaches. It is centered around the Canfali vantage point and the Parque de Elche. The old town district features all the major shops in Benidorm, along with some excellent bars. The streets are narrow and winding, so be sure to visit this lively center.
