Punta Prima is a typical Spanish beach resort located on the southern Costa Blanca, within 30 minutes of two international airports, Murcia and Alicante. The beaches are among the cleanest in the area and have been awarded Blue Flag status. Punta Prima enjoys a Mediterranean climate with 320 sunny days a year. The beach has a wonderful promenade with shops, boutiques, bars, and restaurants.

Punta Prima is a ten-minute drive south of Torrevieja. For the more energetic, it is possible to walk to Torrevieja, just a thirty-minute stroll along the coast, or there is an hourly bus service that takes you there.

It is also just a short walk to a sandy beach, or follow the newly built promenade to explore other beaches, making this resort an attractive and desirable place to enjoy your holiday. Just walk 10 minutes, and you have access to a variety of cuisines, including Spanish, Chinese, Italian, Japanese, or Indian.

Punta Prima has a sandy beach. On one side, you can swim, paddle, or just sunbathe, and on the other side, there are rocky swimming pools that provide an ideal and safe place for children to spend time looking for crabs or fish, or just sitting in the warm pools.

Punta Prima also has a shopping center with an Eroski supermarket, many bars, and restaurants. There are even more restaurants to choose from on the N332, such as Rogues Carvery, Rogues Fish Bar, Puccini Italian, German, Ghandi Indian, two Chinese restaurants, including Dinastia, and several bars.

There are three golf courses in the area, as well as water sports, fishing, and sailing to enjoy. A visit to the local market to buy fruits and vegetables, shoes, bags, and clothing can be done on Saturdays at Playa Flamenca.
