THE LA ZENIA AREA
La Zenia is located on the Costa Blanca South, just south of the large city of Torrevieja. This coastal stretch is known as Orihuela Costa. La Zenia is a small but lively beach resort, one of several areas within Orihuela Costa. Located on the Costa Blanca South, just south of the large city of Torrevieja, it has two very popular sandy beaches for relaxation, as well as the largest shopping center in the province of Alicante, where you can experience "La Zenia Boulevard."

There are many bars, cafés, and restaurants spread throughout the area for you to enjoy, and it is one of the start or stop points on the Orihuela coastal walking route. This gives you a good idea of what to expect in La Zenia. Clearly, La Zenia is a great location for a beach holiday; you don’t need to go anywhere else, as everything you need for a fantastic family holiday in the sun is right here in La Zenia.

THE CLIMATE
The weather is mostly fantastic. After all, "La Zenia," as part of the Costa Blanca, offers at least 300 sunny days a year, low humidity, and mild winters. NICE WALKS
The landscape around La Zenia is surrounded by orange and lemon trees. A nice walk along the sea is the cliff path to "Cabo Roig" with fantastic views of the cliffs and the sea. It takes about an hour to walk from the Zenia Hotel to the harbor and beach at Cabo Roig. At Cabo Roig beach, you can have a small tapa and refreshments in the beach bars or in the marina itself.

Similarly, you can also walk the other way and head towards "Playa Flamenca." There are two beaches on this walk with bars. In fact, there are even more restaurants in "Playa Flamenca." If you are in good shape, you can take the beautiful walk further to "Punta Prima" or even to Torrevieja. A lovely sandy path with a beach for naturists. At Punta Prima, you will find nice beach bars and restaurants.

MARKETS
There are no markets held in "La Zenia," but there are several nearby. At the end of the week, on Saturday, there is the "La Flamenca" market. This market is within walking distance from "La Zenia." Another nice little market takes place on Thursdays in "Cabo Roig." Additionally, there is a large street market in Torrevieja on Fridays.

Along the Cabo Roig beach, there is a pleasant market on Thursdays. In front of the sea, you will find local fruits, vegetables, food, mobile bars with "chocolate and churros," local products, and souvenirs. But the most important thing is the fantastic view of the "Mar Menor."

GETTING TO LA ZENIA
La Zenia is centrally located between two airports. The San Javier Airport in Murcia is 15-20 minutes by car. And the Alicante Airport is 40 minutes by car. Both airports are well connected to the rest of Western Europe.

Specifically, many low-cost airlines such as Ryanair, Norwegian, or Easyjet fly from Alicante Airport. La Zenia is well connected via the AP-7 motorway, for which you need to pay tolls. The AP-7 connects the northern part of the Costa Blanca with the southern part.

From Murcia San Javier Airport to La Zenia, you do not have to pay tolls if you exit the motorway at Cabo Roig, Campoamor. The cost of the motorway when driving from Alicante Airport is approximately 4 or 6 euros, depending on the tourist season. However, there is also an option where you do not have to pay tolls. In fact, by taking the N-332, which used to connect Costa Blanca from north to south. By taking the N-332, you pass through the towns of Santa Pola and Torrevieja.

If you drive towards Alicante from La Zenia, you will visit the city of Torrevieja. This place is very popular among Western European tourists, making it busier as well.
